Parkside Preparatory School is an independent day school, registered with the Department for Children, Schools and Families and caters for the education of children between the ages of three and eleven years.

Admissions

Step 1

Contact the school by phone, fax or email to register your interest in the school.




Step 2

Visit the school for an interview, with an opportunity to viewing. Viewing times are Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am-12noon, but if these days are unsuitable, we will be pleased to arrange an alternative date/time.




Step 3

Collect, complete and return registration form.




Assessment Procedure

Nursery (3 years)


Half day attendance (9am – 12noon)


What are assessed: Social skills through play; Pencil control & Knowledge of numbers and the alphabet.


Reception (4+)


Half day attendance (9am – 12 noon)


What are assessed: Social skills: practical Maths activities; Pencil control; and Knowledge of letter names and sounds.




Year 1 Year 6


A full day attendance (9am – 3:30pm)

What are assessed: Basic skills tests in English and Mathematics; Conduct / Behaviour i.e. attitude to staff and peers.




(At Parkside, we are extremely flexible with our enrolment policy. Although the majority of our pupils enrol at the beginning of the school year, we are equally pleased to accept pupils at anytime during the school year.)
